After another 6 days without really any free time to connect to any MUSH, starting to wonder if it is past the point of no return on maintaining this as a "hobby."

Ambivalence to RP.   Or maybe a harsher term, when you login but rather than try and drum up your own shit you vainly type WHERE over and over wondering if there is anyone else's fun you can leech onto with minimal effort.  Sometimes, even when you see something, you neglect to insert yourself into something because you wonder if maybe, 15 minutes from now, something even MORE IMPORTANT might spring up that you would have missed?

We all do it.

So the question: strategies to overcome this?

Oh my god another post.

Thinking about getting a new FC on M3 after a year break.  Don't really have any idea what is going on ICly at all to make an educated decision.  Recommend someone for me!  

So far Aeolus is the only guy I've seen from the last run that I remember being interested in, but I don't know what Ouroboros (is it still Ouroboros?) is up to these days etc.  I was going to reapp Techno since I saw he was open, but before I got my shit together it looks like he closed again.  Damn,

Bored at work...  So I will talk about my characters past or present  if you ask a question.  But I doubt anyone will so I'm still kind of bored.

Rock slowly rises back up this full height, the singsong call of Bass over the rooftops of Wily's Universe stinging the back of his neck like very few sounds in the world can. He hates this person. He wishes this person did not exist. He wishes he could destroy this person -- once and for all. It's been almost two decades of this. Two decades of seeing him smiling, smirking, as he committed one terrible thing after another, in some sort of mutated sense of vendetta against him.

The wingtips on Rock's back click into extended position, reenabling themselves into flight type. His toes curl against the foundation of a the cursed city floor, large boots digging into the foundation. He clears his mind and lets a cold breath snake out between his clenched jaw. This is it. They are in their city. They have the advantage and the initiative. This is their best chance to take Doctor Wily's army down.

The wing tips explode in color, thrust pods twisting open while Rock's bootjets splash whitehot light. Shooting forward from his Mega Crater, the Blue Bomber's fingers close into a fist as he streaks across the sky. He notices Dust Man drinking a beer as he flies by, but his focus is iron and rigid on the Force Commander shooting forward in the horizon's eye. 

"This ends toniiiiiiiiiiight!" he yells, giving the obligatory verbal challenge as his body breaks through the sound barrier. He hits Bass like a comet to the Earth, his right fist exploding forward in a cacoon of glowing white power.

You miss Bass with your Punch attack.

Condo shopping fucking sucks.

So for the first time in 9 months since I got FIOS (Fiber Optic) Internet, there was some flaky connectionisms last night.  They were about six hops in at ALTER.NET, which is a backbone and whatnot, so I don't think they were really Verizon's fault.  ANYWAY -- to circumvent it  I was able to connect my Macbook via bluetooth ot my Samsung Blackjack and use the Blackjack's data connection for my laptop.  It was pretty sweet and made me feel like I was in Star Trek.

YOU CAN'T STOP ME INTERNET. 

Do you ever wonder what people online say behind your back?  I don't wonder about this kind of thing IRL because I have fists and am versed from over 500 fights (that's what it takes to be a legitimate tough guy.  Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are) but I wonder about it online sometimes.

Mostly because I see how often it happens.  But then, it happens often in the real world too; it's human nature to gossip but I wonder if we're all just so clueless we don't realize when hatred is staring us in the face.  We can't recognize that the man standing next to us would love to lay an eight inch piece of steel alloy between our shoulderblades.

We should encourage our faceless demons to leave anonymous comments on our faceless blogs so that we at least know they're there.  In the shadows.  Taunting us.

This post is being made from 9 feet away from my TV, on a logitech laser wireless keyboard, while my macbook projects through a mini-DVI to RCA cable adapter into my TV, and connects to the internet through our wireless router that feeds into a fiber-optic line that runs straight down to Verizon's switch office a few hundred yards away.

Meanwhile, my itunes is busy playing Bob Marley through the surround sound hooked up to my TV and DVD player courtesy of a cable running from my macbook's headphone jack into the front input. 

All of this is controlled with one remote.

Technology's sweet.
